Eastern La Noscea is a zone located in La Noscea.
A region that runs from Bloodshore on the coast to Raincatcher Gully further inland, it is located to the southeast of Vylbrand. With pure white sand beaches to the east and deep rainforest to the west, the region offers a very diverse topography.
Geography[]
Bloodshore[]
The name Bloodshore comes from the rivalry between the League of Lost Bastards and Rycharde Mistbeard's followers reaching a boiling point fifty years ago off the coast of eastern La Noscea. When the smoke cleared, hundreds of bodies had been washed away with the tide and four galleys had sunk, their blood staining the water and beach.
- Gullperch Tower: The easternmost of the three beacons erected along the La Noscean coast in the Sixth Astral Era, this tower alerts ships passing through the Strait of Merlthor to its treacherous shallows and acts as a lookout for pirate and Sahagin raids on Bloodshore.
- Costa del Sol: Although this property was cleared for farming, it was soon abandoned when it became evident that no crops would thrive in the salt-saturated soil. When a wealthy Ul'dahn businessman named Gegeruju saw it, he decided to buy it and start building on it in the style of The Southern Seas. Not only has Gegeruju changed the region's name to Costa del Sol, but he has also transformed the region's vegetation to suit his preferences, even bringing in species from more tropical regions like the Cieldalaes.
- The Garlok's Lair: Master Gegeruju despatched a group of sellswords into the abyss to find the "monster" known as the Garlok that was rumored to reside in this dark cavern. Not only is it said that they ran into the fabled dread babe... but also into it by accident, rousing the Garlok from its eons-long sleep.
- Hidden Falls: Located several hundred yalms upstream from where the Agelyss River empties into the Strait of Merlthor, it is sheltered on three sides by imposing cliffs. Gegeruju was immediately drawn to the land's beauty and bought it, building a stage there where he holds private shows for his favorite customers.
Raincatcher Gully[]
In the warmth of this dense rainforest, a great number of plants bloom into red blossoms, however scientists are still unaware of what creates such an imbalance in color among the region's flora.
- Brayflox's Longstop: An ex-member of the Company of Heroes named Brayflox Alltalks wanted to build a camp here. She was not aware that a wounded wyrm was sleeping in a cave further inside, and consequently, the goblin party she despatched into the bush met with terrible catastrophe.
- The Severed String: A store selling stolen and illegally obtained products, this used to be the residence of a black marketeer until its owner abandoned it for unknown reasons. Even though the location was deserted for a long time, imperial deserters eventually lived inside its fittingly titled walls.
- Red Mantis Falls: The location's sinister name comes from the deadly red mantises that lay their eggs close to the base of this magnificent waterfall.
- Raincatcher Gully Docks: Visitors can board the ferry at these piers to cross the river, and its porters and steersmen are housed in a small storehouse close by. Recently, there have been numerous reports of mysterious Doman-like figures lingering in the area.
Agelyss Wise[]
Agelyss Wise, the remains of an ancient road, is so old that some researchers believe it existed at the time of ancient Allag.
- Wineport: A Lominsan village well known for its vineyards and premium wines, Wineport is blessed with excellent land and groundwater rich in minerals. They are renowned for producing particularly beautiful vintages from the Bacchus grapes they farm. The village's name comes from its thriving trade even though it is not a port in the conventional sense.
- Castrum Occidens: Originally serving as the 2nd Cohort's garrison, this castrum was established by the XIVth Imperial Legion during the Seventh Umbral Era. It is reported that the Garleans spent a significant deal of time and effort investigating the Dalamud fragment buried underground.[1]
