Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks is a section of Limsa Lominsa.
Lominsans have spent many generations constructing upwards because they have very limited space to do so. As a result, the upper decks have developed to wrap around the Mizzenmast and extend to nearby towers along stone and wooden bridges.
Points of Interest[]
Coral Tower[]
Coral Tower, which overlooks Limsa's port, was constructed to serve as the organization's main office. The watchtower is currently the headquarters and training facility for the Yellowjackets and the Marauders' Guild.
The Seventh Sage[]
The Seventh Sage trades in everything from exotic products from far-off regions to regional vegetables and spices. While many chefs frequent the store, it also serves to hide the activities of the Kraken's Arms, much of whose loot is stored on the shelves and is available for purchase.
The Bismarck[]
The Bismarck is renowned as Eorzea's top restaurant and offers delicacies from all five seas that are sure to please any palate. The Bismarck hopes that its guests will swallow everything in their path, just like the mythical white whale did. The Culinarians' Guild is also located here.
The Mizzenmast[]
Built around the remnants of the Galadion—a legendary battleship whose grounding off the shores of Vylbrand marked the humble beginnings of Limsa Lominsa—the Towering Mizzenmast stands at the center of all that goes on in the city-state.
The bottom level is a veritable citadel, fortified with yalm-thick stone walls dotted with arrow loops and murder holes to fend off invaders in the event of an attack. On the middle levels can be found both a bustling pub and a cozy inn, while the uppermost levels comprise the offices of high-ranking thalassocratic officials, including the city-state's leader—The Admiral.
Limsa Lominsa's airship landing is also located near the top of the tower, allowing for the safe disembarkation and boarding of passengers without the need for pilots to contend with the treacherous air currents swirling in the bay below. A pub and an inn are also located here, all of which are accessible by the Crow's Lift, a complicated system of pulleys.
The Drowning Wench[]
The Drowning Wench is an alehouse that takes up the full second storey of the Mizzenmast and is infamously claimed to have been named after the owner's mother. Up until the retired sellsword Baderon Tenfingers became the owner, only sailors and pirates frequented the establishment. He allowed the Adventurers' Guild to open shop here, and the pub has started to draw in a wider range of customers. The Drowning Wench is renowned for its La Noscean toast and takes pleasure in serving good food at reasonable prices.
The Mizzenmast Inn[]
The Mizzenmast Inn accepts travelers looking for a more stable bed on dry land, as even sailors like to sleep in gently rocking accommodations even while in port.
Maelstrom Command[]
Maelstrom Command's initial location was on the outskirts of Limsa Lominsa, but following the Calamity and the formulation of a new strategy for the city-state's defense, the Grand Company's headquarters are now located here.
The Hyaline[]
The Hyaline gets its name from the jewel-like aquarium that borders its storefront, selling fish that is brought fresh every morning.
The Aftcastle[]
According to Limsa Lominsa's nautical customs, the Aftcastle, a common courtyard, gets its name from being located below the Mizzenmast.
The Missing Member[]
This bar was initially constructed by the Sanguine Sirens to accommodate crew members who had arrived in port. However, townspeople and adventurers can be spotted dining within the Missing Member's halls ever since its cuisine and drink began to receive positive reviews. Majority think the restaurant gets its name from the crew members the Sanguine Sirens lost at sea, while some think it refers to the captain's violent propensity to skillfully "decommission" her male victims.
Naldiq & Vymelli's[]
This company, which was founded by a blacksmith named Naldiq and a shipbuilder named Vymelli, gained notoriety for producing some of the best ships ever seen in the realm, if not the entire world. But as time has gone on, it has grown to encompass a wide range of industries, from weapons to exquisite armor made from metal plates using the same techniques used to gird ships' hulls. The Armorers' Guild and the Blacksmiths' Guild are located here.
The Anchor Yard[]
The Anchor Yard served as the most experienced pirates' berth in the early days of Limsa Lominsa. Due to a severe gale that occurred approximately two hundred years ago, the region was unfit for huge vessels to anchor, thus a spacious courtyard was constructed in its place.[1]
