The Scions of the Seventh Dawn is a secret organization dedicated to safeguarding the future of Eorzea. Among their gravest concerns are the godlike beings known as the primals, and its members are always looking for capable individuals to recruit to their cause. Following their valiant battle with the XIVth Imperial Legion, the Scions have stepped into the public eye in their efforts to improve Eorzea.

Louisoix Leveilleur was the leader of the Eorzean Alliance's army in 1572 of the Sixth Astral Era. He decided to call upon the power of the Twelve in order to preserve the realm as Dalamud was about to collide with Eorzea. Louisoix took the decision to give up his life in order to summon the power of the Twelve after realizing that he would have to sacrifice himself in order to prevent all Eorzeans from being under the control of the primals.
Nevertheless, he concealed his plans from the Archons within his Circle of Knowing, believing that they would become disheartened if they discovered the reality. Still, he was certain that the group would lose its head, so he approached Minfilia, the leader of the Path of Twelve. After telling her everything, he handed over the Circle to her. Thus, after the Battle of Carteneau, at the meeting point of Louisoix's Circle of Knowing and Minfilia's Path of the Twelve, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn came into being in accordance with his will.[1]
