Thancred Waters is a male Hyur and a core member of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.

Thancred was raised in Limsa Lominsa's back alleys and spent his teenage years stealing purses with a group of small-time criminals. He set out after an Elezen who was visiting the marine city state to research aether one day, having no idea that man was Louisoix Leveilleur.
As soon as the youngster got close, the Archon sent him hurtling onto the cobblestones. Thancred was sure he would be thrown onto one of the city-state's prisons after being caught red-handed, but Louisoix gave him a choice instead: use his gods-given agility to help his fellows. So the Midlander returned to Sharlayan with the Archon, where he started learning survival and information gathering skills. He advanced to the status of expert in both, then as an Archon, and eventually a member of the Circle of Knowing.
Thancred, who is thirty-two years old, considers himself to be shrewd when it comes to the fairer sex, even though the ladies would beg to differ. A nutkin, who has rescued the Archon from multiple awkward circumstances, is his boon companion.
Having acquired via trade in Loth ast Vath, Thancred carries narrow trappers' knife and a single heavy blade, which is likely a relic from old Allag. The Archon has become very fond of them, even though they are creations of necessity rather than choice.[1]
